The most successful junior team in our club, Kolibris NEO , started the new season at their home Kolibris Cupem, where they achieved an excellent 3rd place against teams from different age categories and countries .. 🥉🥌
The tournament was an important first step in the team’s preparation for the World Junior-B Curling Championships (WJBCC) in December. Kolibris NEO also competed without their regular skip, giving the team an opportunity to play in a different line-up.
.🎙️ Albert Mihola on the Kolibris Cup
“The Kolibris Cup was our first tournament of the season and marked the beginning of our preparation for the World Junior-B Championships in December. At the same time, we competed without our regular skip, so we played in a slightly different line-up.
Even though it was primarily a preparation tournament, we set ourselves several goals beforehand and managed to achieve them, so we are happy with the result. The tournament gave us a lot of valuable experience – not only because we played in a new line-up, but especially because we had the opportunity to compete against teams from different categories and from other countries.
The tournament was very well organised, and it is clear that the club has a lot of experience in hosting events like this. Finally, we would like to thank everyone involved – the officials, ice crew, organisers and, of course, our opponents, without whom the tournament would not have been possible.
We hope the Kolibris Cup tradition will continue again next year!”
The bronze medal is a great start to the new season for Kolibris NEO. 🥉💪 The team will now continue its preparation for the World Junior-B Championships in December. Good luck! 🇨🇿🥌
